Beta Epsilon, the esteemed Brotherhood of Engineers, stands as the first college-based fraternity at the University of the Philippines. Since our founding on August 23, 1929, by nine visionary scholars, athletes, and student leaders, we have been a home for the brightest minds in the UP College of Engineering.

From the very beginning, Beta Epsilon has been a symbol of scholarship, excellence, and service. With a membership spanning over a thousand Betans across generations, our fraternity continues to cultivate leadership, camaraderie, and a strong sense of brotherhood.

Signature Events and Contributions:

  • Blockbooster: Our annual trivia quiz show for freshmen.
  • Bullseye: A popular dart competition during Engineering Week.
  • Maskipaps: Known for its vibrant variety show.
  • The Crossover: The largest student-organized music festival in UP Diliman.

Landmark Projects:

  • Beta Theatrum: A significant gift for UP’s Diamond Jubilee.
  • Beta Epsilon Way: A concrete paver walkway across the University quadrangle, which earned us the prestigious Wenceslao Q. Vinzons Achievement Award.
  • Children’s Playground Archway & Beta Epsilon Audio Visual Room: Key contributions to university infrastructure.
  • E-Beta Way: An internet service and computing facility for the Engineering Library.
  • State-of-the-Art Multimedia Hall: Donated to the College of Engineering in 2006.

  • Wenceslao Q. Vinzons Achievement Award: For the creation of Beta Epsilon Way.
